Raytheon Delivers First F-15E AESA Radar
A day after delivering the first AESA radars for ths USAF's F-15Cs, Raytheon has delivered the first APG-82(V)1 Active Electronically Scanned Array radar for the U.S. Air Force's F-15E radar modernization program. The radars will be delivered to Boeing in St Louis, Missouri for integration with the Strike Eagles.

Saudis may get huge arms deal
The Obama Administration is seeking to sell Saudi Arabia advanced aircraft worth up to $60 billion advanced weapons. The deal includes 84 F-15s, upgrading another 70 F-15s, 70 Apaches, 72 Black Hawks and 36 Little Bird helicopters.

Raytheon's AN/APG-63(v)3 AESA Radar Installed on USAF F-15C
Raytheon's next-generation APG-63(V)3 Active Electronically Scanned Array radar is now installed on the first U.S. Air Force F-15C aircraft following a series of successful flight tests. The Air National Guard will upgrade 14 F-15C/D aircraft and the U.S. Air Force will upgrade 10 F-15C/D aircraft with the new radar under the current contract.

S. Korean Air Force receives F-15Ks from 2nd order
The Air Force received its first batch of three F-15K fighter jets from Boeing yesterday under the second-phase F-X fighter acquisition program. The deliveries bring the RoKAF's current strength to 42 F-15Ks.

Last F-15s depart Langley, Ironmen to inactivate
The last two operational F-15 Eagles have left Langley Air Force Base in Virginia on Sept. 1 for Portland, Ore. The 71st Fighter Squadron, known as the Ironmen, are scheduled to be inactivated at the end of the month.

Poland completes Baltic air policing spell, replaced by USAFE Eagles
The Polish Air Force's MiG-29 detachment in Lithuania providing NATO air cover for the Baltic states has ended. They have been replaced by F-15C Eagles from the 493rd Expeditionary Fighter Sqn from Lakenheath, England.

Tigers, Raptors rendezvous at Arctic Circle
F-15Es Strike Eagles of the 391st FS, 366th FW "Young Tigers" from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho have deployed to Elmendorf AFB in Alaska to provide "Red Air" training for the 3rd Wing's F-22 Raptors.
Seymour Johnson evacuates aircraft from hurricane
The aircraft at North Carolina's Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base are bring evacuated to Eglin Air Force Base due to the approach of Hurricane Earl. The base is home to F-15E Strike Eagles and KC-135R Stratotankers.

Hawaii ANG Eagles make last flights
Two of the Hawaii Air National Guard's F-15 Eagles made their last flight on Wednesday the 25th of August. The unit is currently transitioning to the F-22A Raptor.

Floatplane violates Air Force One no-fly zone; F-15s scrambled
A floatplane has inadvertently gotten too close to Air Force One in Seattle, triggering a scramble by F-15s. However the plane landed before it could be intercepted.
Saudis want AESA radar for F-15s
Saudi Arabia has asked for AESA radars to be included in its latest purchase of advanced F-15 fighters. However this may be more technologically advanced than the United States is willing to export to the kingdom.

Raytheon has beaten a joint Boeing/Lockheed-Martin team to a US$450 million contract to launch development to supply the US Air Force and Navy with the Small Diameter Bomb Increment II (SDB II) for carriage by the F-15 and F-35.

Montana ANG provides air cover during Hawaii F-22 transition
The 186th Fighter Squadron, 120th Fighter Wing of the Montana ANG has deployed 6 F-15C/D Eagles to Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii to perform alert-status duty while the Hawaii ANG transitions from the F-15 to the F-22 Raptor.

Boeing F-15 Silent Eagle Demonstrator Completes first Weapon Launch
Boeing has announced that the F-15SE Silent Eagle has successfully completed its first missile launch on the 14th of July. This follows its Weapons Bay Test (Captive Carriage flight) on the 8th. Fighting Cocks in Singapore for Commando Sling
