PLAAF J-10 in August 1st Demonstration Team Colours
China's People's Daily has a photo gallery of the Chengdu J-10 in the colours of the People's Liberation Army Air Force's August 1st Demonstration Team. The team will feature with its new mount at Airshow China to be held at Zhuhai, Guangdong Province in early November.

PLAAF introduces medevac transport based on Y-8
China Defense Blog has reported that the PLAAF has introduced a purpose-built medevac aircraft, based on the Shaanxi Y-8C transport (copy of the Antonov An-12), into service. The medical aircraft will meet the demand of long-range evacuation of casualties, and would be useful for disaster relief in peacetime.

PLAAF J-10s to perform at Airshow China 2010
New sponsor of Airshow China 2010, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force, is to send its biggest-ever contingent to the show, including the Chengdu J-10 fighter. The show will be held in Zhuhai in China's Guangdong Province from Nov 11-21.

PLAAF involved in Anatolian Eagle?
Turkish sources have reportedly said that the PLAAF has been involved in the recent Anatolian Eagle exercise in Turkey with it's Su-27 Flankers. China was invited after the US and most of NATO turned down Turkey's invitation to participate.

China tests its Sukhois at upgraded airfields in Tibet
Details of the PLAAF exercise where Sukhoi Su-30s were deployed to airbases in Tibet have begun to emerge. It is believed that the PLAAF has up to seven airbases in the area capable of supporting the Su-30s.

The Chosun Ilbo is reporting that the PLAAF has recently carried out "unprecedented" night exercises over the West Sea/Bohai Gulf from bases in Shandong and Liaodong provinces.

China to hold large air exercise
