Singapore Apache forced landing due to corroded valve
A corroded Anti-Ice Start Bleed Valve has been blamed for the emergency landing of the RSAF AH-64D Apache in late September. The defective component led to the loss of power and shut-down of both engines during flight, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing in an open field next to Sembawang Airbase in northern Singapore
Royal Thai Air Force F-16 crashes; pilot killed
A Royal Thai Air Force F-16A has crashed near the border with Myanmar while on a training flight this morning, killing the pilot. This is the first loss of a RTAF F-16 after 22 years of operations.

28 killed in Tajik Mi-8 crash
A Tajik military Mi-8 helicopter has crashed east of Tajikistan's capital, killing 28 soldiers on board, including several members of an elite unit. It is believed that the crash was not the result of hostile action.

Colombian Kfir crashes, pilots safe
The Colombian Air Force has lost a two-seat IAI Kfir fighter during a training flight late last month. Both pilots ejected safely, with engine failure being the cited as the cause of the crash.

Singapore suspends Seahawk, Apache training flights

The Defence Ministry in Singapore has announced that the Republic of Singapore Air Force has suspended training flights for it's fleet of AH-64D Apache and S-70 Seahawk helicopters after yesterdays crash landing of an RSAF Apache. Both types are powered the General Electric T700 series of engines.

BREAKING NEWS: RSAF Apache crash lands
A Republic of Singapore Air Force AH-64D Apache has crash landed on an open field near its base in Sembawang in Singapore's north. Neither the crew or civilians on the ground were unhurt.
From photos at the site of the incident, the tail section has broken off. It looks like the aircraft is a write off.
The Singapore Ministry of Defence has issued a short statement regarding the incident.

Another Indian MiG-27 crashes
A MiG-27 Flogger ground attack aircraft of the Indian Air Force has crashed in the country's east, the third crash of an IAF MiG-27 this year. The incident happened 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of the Kalaikunda air base in West Bengal with the pilot successfully ejecting.
Croatian MiG-21s lost in mid-air collision during exercise
The Croatian Defence Ministry has announced that two Croatian Air Force MiG-21s were lost when they collided in mid-air during an exercise in central Croatia September 13. Both pilots ejected safely.

USAF T-6A Texan II crashes
A T-6A Texan II assigned to the 47th Flying Training Wing crashed on Sept. 24 near Spofford, Texas. Both crew ejected successfully. The aircraft was based at Laughlin AFB, Texas.

Helicopter crash kills nine US troops in Afghanistan
Nine Americans from the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force have died in a helicopter crash in Zabul province, southern Afghanistan. The Taliban has claimed to have shot down the helicopter, but ISAF says there were no signs of hostile fire prior to the crash of the unidentified helicopter.

Su-27UB crashes in Russian Far East; pilots eject
A Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27UB trainer has crashed in the Russian Far East. The aircraft had just come out from maintenance and was on a test flight when it crashed. Both pilots managed to eject safely.

RAF joins other operators in grounding Eurofighter Typhoons
The RAF has joined the Eurofighter Typhoon's other operators in grounding the aircraft after initial investigations revealed that the the ejection seat or parachute issues caused the death of a Royal Saudi Air Force pilot following last month's Spanish Typhoon crash.

Indian Air Force Chetaks involved in 2 incidents; 3 killed
Two Indian Air Force Chetak helicopters have been involved in two separate incidents in the last 24 hours: Three IAF crew were killed in a crash in a remote part of Jharkhand while elsewhere in India on Saturday another helicopter made an emergency landing at an airport in Nagpur.

Philippine AF UH-1 helicopter suffers engine fire; burns out
The Philippine Air Force has lost a Bell UH-1H helicopter. The helicopter was undertaking a troop transport mission when it suffered an engine problem and made an emergency landing before being totally engulfed by fire. There were no casualties.

A160 Hummingbird crashes during testing in Belize
US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and Boeing had to cut short the 45-day test flight programme of the YMQ-18A unmanned helicopter after one of the aircraft crashed in Belize on the 4th September. The unmanned helicopter is dubbed the A160T Hummingbird by manufacturer Boeing

Argentine Air Force pilot dies in Pucara crash
A Fuerza Aerea Argentina (Argentine Air Force) pilot has been killed in the crash of a Pucara light attack aircraft. The crash occurred in the northern province of Santa Fe on Wednesday.

USAF releases A-10 crash report
The US Air Force has released the crash report for the loss of an A-10C during an aborted takeoff in May. Pilot error has been cited as a major cause.

MQ-9 Reaper crashes in California
A USAF MQ-9 Reaper on a test flight has crashed in the Mojave Desert near Edwards AFB in California. No injuries on the ground were reported.

Second Greek AF pilot dies
The Hellenic Air Force pilot critically injured in last week's mid-air collision between two F-16s has died despite having already undergone three previous operations after the accident. One other pilot died instantly following the collision.
