A North Korean Air Force plane has crashed in China, killing its pilot. There is speculation that the pilot may have been trying to defect to Russia although a check with Google Earth seems to show he was headed in the wrong direction.
NOTE: Although the report says the plane involved is a MiG-15, a screen grab originally from Sina shows the wreck of a late-model MiG-21PF or a PFM.
