Anomaly shuts down F136 engine test

Officials from GE have said that an anomaly during testing of one of its development engines which occurred at 'near maximum fan speed' caused the engine to be shut down and tests using that engine to be stopped. The F136 is bidding to be the alternate engine for the Lockheed Martin F-35 JSF.
