BAe Systems launches US trainer replacement program bid

BAE Systems has announced that it will pursue the U.S. Air Force's Advanced Pilot Training Family of Systems with its Hawk jet trainer. The program is to find a replacement for the USAF's T-38 Talon trainers and is commonly referred to as the T-X program.
