Estonian airbase upgraded, ready to host NATO Baltic patrols

Estonia's Ämari Air Base, about 40 kilometers southwest of Tallinn, has held a ceremonial opening to mark its readiness to host the NATO air policing mission for the Baltic States. The project to upgrade the base started in 2007 and is expected to be completed in 2012.
