Boeing proposes to beat Kiowa upgrades with AH-6S

Boeing is now pitching the AH-6S helicopter as a less costly alternative for the US Army than upgrading 330 Bell Helicopter OH-58D Kiowa Warrior scouts. The manufacturer believes the AH-6S will meet the US Army's "Hot and High" requirements and will share a high degree of commonality with the cockpit software of the army's Apache Longbow Block III attack helicopter.
