RAF Torndaoes almost collided over Scotland in June

According to the UK's Airprox Board, a pair of RAF Tornado GR.4s almost collided head-on with each other over Scotland in June. The combined closure speed was reportedly almost 1000 miles per hour and one crew did not see the other plane till it was in his rear-view mirror.
