North Korea lost several fighter jets last year to crashes

South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo, citing a senior South Korean government official, has said that several North Korean Air Force fighter jets crashed during exercises last year during countermoves to American-South Korean exercises. The KPAF operates mainly old Cold-War era Soviet/Russian fighters, and its pilots reportedly lack training and fuel.
