Australia requests additional C-17

Defence Minister Stephen Smith has revealed that Australia has Australia has requested to purchase an additional C-17A Globemaster III transport from the United States. If approved, this will bring the RAAF's fleet to five aircraft, which will boost the Australian Defence Force's global airlift capability and improve its HADR capabilities.
