GE ordered to stop work on F136 engine

Ending funding for a program that both the Bush and Obama Administrations have tried to kill, the Defense Department has issued a stop-work order to General Electric for the F136 alternative engine for the F-35. However GE Aviation intends to self-fund the project for the immediate future.
