Pentagon officially kills alternate F-35 engine

In another coup de grace for the General Electric/Rolls Royce F136 engine, the Pentagon has notified the makers the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's proposed alternative engine that it's contract has been terminated. Funding for the F136 had been cut in the Defense Department's budget earlier.
