Indonesian AF Fokker F-27 crashes into Jakarta neighbourhood

An Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) Fokker F-27 turboprop transport has crashed into a Jakarta neighbourhood while landing at the city's Halim airport at 2.45pm local time. AP is reporting that at least nine people, including six of the aircraft's seven crew, have been killed.

It has been reported that the crashed aircraft was A-2708, one of six similar aircraft in TNI-AU service.
