VIDEO: Belgian F-16AM strikes Libyan Su-22 on the ground

Belgian newspaper Staandard Online has put up a video on its Youtube site showing footage from the targeting pod of a Belgian Air Force F-16AM attacking a Libyan Su-22 Fitter on the ground at an airbase in Libya.

After deploying its Vipersto Greece over the weekend, Belgium's F-16 contingent has flown its first missions over Libya, with sources indicating a flight of four aircraft were involved.

European transport command opens for business

A new organisation tasked with co-ordinating the military transport and air-to-air refuelling activities of four European air forces has begun operating at Eindhoven air base in the Netherlands. The European Air Transport Command (EATC) is a collaboration between Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
