UAE offered export version of Predator UAV

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has offered an export version of the RQ-1 Predator UAV designated the Predator XP to the United Arab Emirates. This export version is equipped with the lower payload capabilities as the RQ-1 and could be outfitted with multiple exportable sensors.

American UAV, believed to be Predator, crashes in Yemen

An American UAV, referred to by local police officials as an MQ-1 Predator, has crashed in Yemen. Witnesses have said that Al-Qaeda operatives were able to retrieve the wreckage of the UAV. It had been reported last November that the Obama Administration has deployed Predators to Yemen in the fight against Al-Qaeda.

US deploys Predators in Yemen: report

The Washington Post has reported that the US has deployed Predator UAVs to Yemen Yemen to hunt for Al-Qaeda operatives who are becoming increasingly active there. However the UAVs have yet to carry out a strike in the country, being used so far for intelligence-gathering.
