Sukhoi begins Su-33 Flanker-D trials

Sukhoi has revealed that it has begun ground and flight trials of the modernized fourth generation Su-33 Flanker-D naval fighter.The modification work and trials are being carried out in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in the Russian Far East.

Russia Shrugs off Chinese Su-33 copy

Russia has admitted there is little it can do to prevent the Chinese from manufacturing a copy of the Su-33 navalised Flanker, reportedly known as the J-15 and believed to have made it's first flight in June.
