Iranian Air Force Sukhoi crashes, pilot killed
According to reports by state news agency IRNA, an Iranian military aircraft has crashed near the city of Shiraz, killing the pilot and injuring a second crewmember. The aircraft type has only been identified as a Sukhoi, which should indicate that the aircraft was a Su-24MK or Su-25UBK.

Iran has unveiled a locally designed flight simulator for the Cobra attack helicopter. It boasts that the simulator costs a tenth of what an equivalent simulator from overseas costs.

Iranian Phantom crashes; pilots eject
An Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force F-4 Phantom has crashed near Bushehr, site of Iran's controversial nuclear plant. Both crew members have successfully ejected from the stricken aircraft.

IRIAF to conduct major exercise
Russia's RIA Novosti has reported that the Iranians are planning to conduct a major week-long air exercise.
