Boeing Delivers 2nd Peace Eye AEW&C Aircraft to RoKAF

Boeing has announced that the second Peace Eye 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft has been delivered to the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). Carrying the civil registration N341FS, the aircraft was delivered to ROKAF Base Gimhae, the main operating base for the Peace Eye fleet. Two additional Peace Eye aircraft are being modified by Korean Aerospace Industries in Sacheon and will be delivered to the ROKAF in 2012.

Indonesian Air Force takes delivery of two ex-Garuda 737-400s

Indonesia's state airline Garuda has sold two Boeing 737-400 jetliners to the Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU or Indonesian Air Force) for an unspecified sum. The two aircraft, handed over in early March, will be used for VIP and troop transport missions.

Indonesian Air Force fighters force Pakistani Airlines 737 to land

Indonesian Air Force fighter jets have forced a Pakistan International Airlines to land in Indonesia for allegedly violating the country's airspace. The Boeing 737 was chartered by the UN to bring back peacekeepers from East Timor, and might have strayed off course due to bad weather when forced to land at Makassar, in the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

S. Korea to receive first Boeing 737 AEW&C aircraft in July

Completing a US$1.6 billion contract signed in 2006, Boeing will deliver the first of South Korea's 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft in July. Codenamed Peace Eye, the aircraft is an increased-gross-weight version of the 737-700 airliner with a Northrop-Grumman Multi-mode Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system.
