Philippines may ask for USN P-3 patrols over the S China Sea

Not "spy planes" as reported but apparently Philippine President Benigno Aquino has said that the Philippines may ask the United States to P-3 Orions over the South China Sea to help monitor the disputed waters. China, the Philippines, Taiwan, Brunei, Vietnam and Malaysia have competing claims on the sea and the Spratly Islands that dot the area.
